“Looking at yourself in the mirror, your past, present, and unknown future, your experiences are all your treasures. We are all growing up as the time goes by, from innocence to maturity.” – Peter Pan
The azure blue east coast of Taiwan spans a long distance, accompanying some tribal people who have left home returning back here; and it is also the ocean-blue road that tribal people must travel through when they return home. The blue ocean resembles a large mirror – leaving the east coast is bidding farewell to one’s homeland, and returning to the east coast is coming back home. It’s like facing a mirror, watching one’s growth and transformation step by step.
Through woven art and image pieces of the east coast, curator Alie Tamapima is bringing her interpretation of the east coast into the exhibition room. Let’s forget life’s hassles and lie over the oceanic stone bed, embrace the soft cobblestones, and immerse in the azure blue mirror land.
