Annual indigenous environmental education exhibition, with the theme “HOMING TAOYAN”, is holding a “Little Artist” drawing competition. It is hoped that through creative drawings, children will familiarize themselves with commonly used ethnic plants during indigenous people’s daily lives: Garto, Sudu Ngucun, Maduh, MaKaw, and kgi.
The plant embroidery art piece seen at the exhibition room is exactly a reinterpretation and re-design of the children’s works that curator Alie Tamapima has created; amidst the latitude and longitude of the embroidery, the curator mimics each and every stroke of the children’s drawings in a fun, childlike way.
